Application:
Speed Sensor U5MK1234 is a crankshaft speed and position sensor engineered for the Perkins 1104D-E44T, 1104D-E44TA and 1106D-E66TA turbocharged diesel engines (4.4 L and 6.6 L). These engines are widely installed in Massey Ferguson 5400 series (5445, 5455, 5460, 5465, 5475), 6400 series (6445, 6455, 6465, 6475, 6480) and 7400 series (7465, 7475, 7480) agricultural tractors, mid-range combine harvesters, 60–250 kVA generator sets, plus 7- to 14-ton hydraulic excavators, wheel loaders and skid-steer loaders operating in agricultural, construction and industrial environments worldwide.
Technical specifications:
Thread interface M12 × 1.5 with 19 mm hex and 30 mm probe reach for direct mounting into the flywheel housing. Output signal is digital Hall-effect, 3-wire, 5 Vdc supply, 0–8 kHz frequency range corresponding to 0–4 000 r/min crankshaft speed, with built-in reverse-polarity and load-dump protection to +40 Vdc.
Material & performance features:
Probe body is precision-machined from 1.4305 (AISI 303) stainless steel for superior resistance to engine oil, coolant splash and road salt; the sensing tip is over-moulded in high-temperature PPS polymer rated to 150 °C and incorporates a rare-earth magnet for stable signal amplitude across the full temperature envelope.
